Designer Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical in Chattanooga, TN has been honing his tactical tomahawk designs for over 30 years earning him a dedicated and loyal fan base, particularly among special forces troops. Now, he’s building an even bigger following with his latest offering: The Kangee T-Hawk.
Crafted from a single slab of high carbon steel, it’s robust enough to handle most anything you can dish out. The blade geometry has tapered cutting edges for efficient splitting, chopping or shaving and overall toughness. Meanwhile, a spike on the other end ensures victory over whatever you may come up against in the line of duty. This tomahawk does more than cut. It carves out a unique place in your tactical gear bag.
But let’s not forget the true importance of a work tool—how it feels in hand. To that end, this T-Hawk features a curved handle and a finger grip choil along the front for enhanced control. Full-length handle scales are checkered for added grip security, and they can be easily removed for cleaning. It’s a useful tool to have and to hold from this day forward.
Finally, a Molle compatible Boltaron sheath can be slipped over the head for easy, secure attachment to all your Molle gear.

It served my purpose well as it was used to cut the cake at my wedding. I dont know how this would hold up if actually used as an axe. My blade had some issues with pitting in the metal, but in all its a good looking axe.

This is a functional but yet incredibly beautiful tool. Not only does it feel great in the hand and have a good quality of manufacturing but it has a unique look . If I wasn’t so practical I would put this on the wall to show off. Well worth every penny.

Wouldn’t use it to chop down a forest, but it can handle smaller jobs if you have to use it for that. Five stars is for the price, quality and appearance combined with the 75% use as a beautiful work of art and 25% handling small around the house jobs…which I think is what it’s designed for…..

It’s a good show piece. With that being said. The metal had some pitting and the beard was not in line with the spine. Handle was very uncomfortable and it broke the first use hacking at a limb.Would not recommend for actual use…

Looks good. Terrible to actually use though. Too light to be a good cutting axe. For the price, I would recommend an estwing. Cheaper and much better at actually cutting. If you want it to collect, by all means go for it. It will make a great wall piece. But when it comes to actually using it, I was very disappointed. Returned it in less than a week.

What a beast! It came sharp but I put an even better edge on it and it’s “shave sharp” now. I bought it mostly for looks but it’s 100% functional. I’ve cut down 2 4″ trees and many branches with it. Nothing came loose and it held it’s edge. The detail work is beautiful. Nothing was untouched, there’s little details everywhere. The brass tacks on the grip aren’t the most comfortable for continued use but this is absolutely the real deal. Very well made and great looking on it’s wall plaque. I still can’t believe I got this for > $150.
