Perfect for marine use or placement on top of a van or vehicle, the Renogy 50W Lightweight Solar Panel is thin and capable of flexing up to 248 degrees. At 2.87 pounds, this flexible solar panel weighs only a quarter of its traditional 50W counterpart. Highly flexible, this lightweight panel can easily be installed on curved surfaces. This panel can also be used for other various applications, including providing power on a boat or teardrop trailer.
Mounting Recommendation: Modules must be mounted using silicone structural adhesive on the backside of the panel, grommets are only to be used for non-mobile applications. For detailed installation methods, please consult a local contractor for guidance.

Second panel I have received that is burnt and discolored around the edges. Caulk is applied messy and inconsistent. Renogy support states that Amazon buys these in bulk to sell, and that they will handle the return. I’m not going to try for a third time. Either Renogy or Amazon is selling low quality panels, I believe it to be Renogy supplying these low quality rejects to fill bulk orders. Shame on them.

This thing is never going to bend like they show. It would mess it up to do that to it. It still is really thin and flat! and somewhat flexible for a curved surface, but I would never bend it like they show.

Bought a month back, Worked fine so far. The terminals are pasted into the board, hope it sticks long. If someone doesn’t have a specific need for a flexible panel,it may be better to go with a regular hard panel for longevity.
