Designer Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical in Chattanooga, TN has been honing his tactical tomahawk designs for over 30 years earning him a dedicated and loyal fan base, particularly among special forces troops. Now, he’s building an even bigger following with his latest offering: The Kangee T-Hawk.
Crafted from a single slab of high carbon steel, it’s robust enough to handle most anything you can dish out. The blade geometry has tapered cutting edges for efficient splitting, chopping or shaving and overall toughness. Meanwhile, a spike on the other end ensures victory over whatever you may come up against in the line of duty. This tomahawk does more than cut. It carves out a unique place in your tactical gear bag.
But let’s not forget the true importance of a work tool—how it feels in hand. To that end, this T-Hawk features a curved handle and a finger grip choil along the front for enhanced control. I just got into axe throwing last week at the bar. I really enjoyed it so I built a target and bought this axe. It is very sharp and accurate right out of the box.My first 3 throws were all bulls eyes…at about 13’…I’m dead serious. Of course, this is compared to a Kobalt camping hatchet…but it is still a “point and shoot” axe…if you’re steady, it will hit what you are staring at.I guess I could be one bounce away from a broken handle, but oh well…the things are relatively cheap…my other addiction is mtn bikes…compared to that ludicrously expensive nonsense, axe throwing is practically free.

Reading these reviews it would lead me to believe there are 2 different Items being sold under this listing?Some people are talking about it being sharp or having great chopping power and others saying it is a prop axe. The one I received is made of Polypropylene, the whole thing including the head and handle and blade? I will include some images of mine. Let me know……

Totally awesome right out of the box only cost twenty bucks. I am new to axe throwing went out hit it first time and like 15 times straight after that. Paid like 40 bucks for estwing fancy-looking tomahawk. This was much easier to throw. Rating rules for Hatchet throwing and handle is a bit long for that going to whack a couple inches off it. I like this so much think I’m going to buy me two more just for the heck of it

Just received and it throws great. It took me an my 13 year old about 10 min to get the target distance downand now we are sticking it every time. We did not have to sharpen it or shorten it as a few others suggested.It seems solid and I have no complaints. Just ordered a 2nd one.

If you’re looking for the right throwing axe, stop looking. Well balanced and moderately heavy head to stick in the target. Set your line at 15 feet and be prepared to throw a lot of bulls.

Spent a few days researching and purchased based on the information I found. My wife and I are first time axe throwers and these are perfect. I cut down the handle to make it more suitable for our preferences and am very pleased. Not planning to go pro or anything, but very happy as a recreational axe thrower in the back yard.

I purchased two Axe Hatchets as a novelty set to play around with variations on Filipino Arnis and Karate Kama applications. The trainers seem sturdy and meet my expectations from a practice and safety perspective. The one issue I have is that the handles are not rounded but have a rectangular cross dimension that makes it awkward to do kama forms with them. My real hatchets have nicer handles and so does theCold Steel 92BKPTH Trench Hawk Trainer Axe. Probably will be a fun costume prop for Halloween.

I have around 100 throws on my axe. Works great, I don’t see any fractures in the handle or wobble/movement in the axe head. I’ve had 1 or 2 drops and the blade is holding up well.I would suggest sharpening the blade before use. Mine wasn’t crazy dull but it needed a little sharpening.EDIT: Just finished a league season using this axe. Between competition and practice I have hundreds of throws with this axe. Still works great. No issues with the handle. The blade is holding up well.
