These socks fit the bill perfectly.
I have bought some wool socks off Amazon that were undersized and not nearly as thick as promised. These were very thick, plush, and warm as a result. They are also a very soft wool, so they feel extremely comfortable. They also “breathe” so as to not let odor be a problem. No stinky feet at all at the end of the day, even with workboots.
These are not “knee-socks,” but also not the cheapish ankle-length socks, either. I am 6-feet tall, and they come to about mid-calf.
I have gout, which is caused by uric acid crystalizing in the colder parts of the body: most commonly the feet (just behind the big toe). So I need warm socks to prevent a very painful outbreak of gout, and a good sock is very important to me. These are some of the best socks I have owned.

I bought these in what was supposed to be size 12-15 as a gift for someone with a very large shoe size. However nothing on the packaging indicates if they are indeed that size. The packaging is intact and new, so this is disappointing and surprising. Amazon had an additional clear plastic wrapping on them with the product numbers, but that also omits any size info.
The quality feels ordinary, definitely not dressy, but I guess that’s expected. They’re somewhat rough to the touch, not particularly soft. My first time buying this brand.

I loved these socks when I first opened and them and have been wearing them. Insanely comfortable and nice cushion for a sock and kept me warm for basic use in the house and for casual use with boots. But when I put them to the winter test with some winter boots I found that my feet ended up feeling damp from sweat and then were cold, and since they were damp the cold lingered even after I was inside and not in the cold anymore.
So overall an excellent winter sock for daily use especially for the price but I will be looking into a better pair with perhaps a better wool content or moisture wicking for winter activities.

I currently deliver home heating oil for a living so good socks and footwear are essential. I ordered one pair of Wool socks from a belt maker that I like. One pair of socks for $19. As I was waiting for delivery I came across these socks on Amazon and thought Iād give them a go. They felt great right off the bat but I wanted to wear them a bit before submitting a review. After wearing nothing but these three pairs of socks for well over a month, they are still great – warm, dry, very little shrinkage, excellent elasticity (donāt slide down)ā¦ My wife is wearing the other pair I ordered. They were incredibly small (even though they were āLarge ā). They shrank to an unwearable size after one washing. They were also very thin.

I have big leg bones, and wear ankle boots a lot. These socks are thick, on top and bottom, which is what I wanted. I had to fold the top over about an inch so it wasn’t squeezing my leg, they were a tich tight. Definitely don’t get these if you are a diabetic with big bones, they are not going to be good for you. If you have average to thin leg bones, they will be great for you.

I wear women size 7 shoes and was not sure S (5-9.5) would fit me, but they did! They are nothing like other fuzzy socks that last several weeks. Iāve washed a pair, put them in dryer and came out fine. Merino wood does keep my feet dry as they stated and so warm. Love them!!
